Meet Amy

Amy has worked in small animal clinics for over a decade. She is a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP), having received her training through the University of Tennessee, a world leader in canine rehabilitation

Pawsitively Pooched and Misty Creek Dog Rescue Foundation have teamed up to donate free rehabilitation to rescue dogs in need. Misty Creek is a passionate no-kill dog rescue foundation that comes across dogs that will greatly benefit from one-on-one rehabilitation from Pawsitively Pooched! For every rehabilitation package purchased, Pawsitively Pooched will rehabilitate a dog in need.

Ensure your furry friend gets the rehabilitation their vet recommends with our veterinary consent form. You may also want to fill out our client history form ahead of time and have it ready for when you start rehabilitation with your pooch!

Following an ECR or other traditional surgeries, swimming can start as soon as the skin heals (usually in 10-14 days). Following a TPLO or other procedure involving bone plates, it is recommended to wait 8 weeks before swimming to ensure bone healing. *   *Please note that in most cases, gentle physiotherapy should start early in the postoperative period to help prevent muscle atrophy and contractures.
If your dog is coming for recreation or fitness, you do not need a referral. If your dog has had a recent surgery or injury, we require a letter of authorization from your Veterinarian.
Initially most injuries benefit from laser treatments twice weekly. As your dog improves, treatments can be reduced to every 1-2 weeks.
Just like humans, dogs benefit from regular exercise. After most surgeries, attending 2-3 sessions per week is recommended. As healing and ability improve, sessions can continue based on your dog’s needs.
